How to Download from the IB Candidate Website
This guide will help you download files from the official IB Candidate website. Follow these simple steps.
Step 1: Get Your Login Details
Before you can download anything, you need your personal login credentials. These are a personal (or candidate) code and a PIN. You must get these from your school's IB programme coordinator. The IB cannot provide them to you directly.
Step 2: Use the Right Browser
For the best experience, use Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. Other browsers may not work correctly.
Step 3: Go to the Official Website
Open your browser and go to the official IB Candidate website at candidates.ibo.org.
Step 4: Log In Carefully
Enter your personal code and PIN exactly as you received them. Remember:
- Your credentials are case-sensitive (uppercase and lowercase letters matter).
- Do not add any extra spaces before or after your code or PIN.
- If you enter the wrong details three times, your account will be locked for 30 minutes.
Step 5: Find the File You Need
Once logged in, look for the section that contains the file you want to download. This could be for uploading coursework (like your TOK essay) or checking your exam results. Results are usually released on 6 July for the May exam session.
Step 6: Download the File
Click on the download link or button next to the file. Your browser will then save the file to your computer. Check your 'Downloads' folder to find it.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Can't log in? Double-check your code and PIN with your school coordinator.
- Account locked? Wait 30 minutes and try again.
- Still having trouble? Contact your school's IB programme coordinator for help.
